Is this affiliated with the NYS court system?

No. We are an independent study product — not affiliated with the NYS Unified Court System or the Office of Court Administration. We build original practice material calibrated to the official announcement and sample questions.

Are these real exam questions?

No — and be wary of anyone claiming otherwise. Real exam questions are confidential; using them is illegal and can get candidates disqualified. Every question here is original, written to the official format specs and reviewed for quality.

What exactly is on the 2026 exam?

Five sections per the official announcement: Remembering Facts and Information (memory), Reading Comprehension (two formats), Applying Facts to Given Situations, Clerical Checking, and Court Record Keeping. Computer-based, 3 hours 15 minutes.

When will I get my results?

OCA says results are typically emailed about six months after the testing window ends — expect spring 2027. The eligible list follows in the first half of 2027 and is canvassed strictly in rank order.

Why does rank matter if I just need to pass?

Hiring works down the ranked list. A few points separate an academy class in year one from waiting three or four years — or never being reached. You're not training to pass; you're training to be near the top.

Your test date is fixed. Your score isn't.
